ABDELKHALEK BENALILA
CO-FOUNDER
Growing up in the middle of the Sahara Desert, Abdel had always known that he was destined to be an ambassador for tourism in Morocco. A childhood dream to showcase the best of his country, he decided to run camel treks and jeep adventure tours in the desert from an early age. The desire to create more was sparked, so he took this early experience with tourism and started to build luxury accommodation offerings – first with desert camps, next a hotel and eventually, a full-service travel, transport and destination management company.
Fast forward 20 years and Abdel has become a well-respected member of the Moroccan tourism industry. He has continued to invest in the growth of luxury hotels and camps throughout Morocco, providing not only great employment opportunities within the tourism sector, but also ensuring that Morocco continues to be recognized globally as a leading luxury travel destination.
Jawad El Rhannami
Founding Director
From humble beginnings come great things – a simple adage that represents our Founding Director perfectly. From guiding tourists on camel back through the Sahara Desert as a young boy, to arranging private jets and remote luxury camps for some of the world’s biggest pop stars and dignitaries in more recent times; Jawad’s philosophy and approach to tourism in Morocco has remained unchanged – how you make people feel is paramount.
This philosophy is not only applied to his approach with clients, but also carried into the every day with his teams and partners on the ground, ensuring the kinds of relationships that open doors, that others don’t even know exist.
Jawad’s pioneering initiatives to elevate the luxury tourism industry in Morocco and his continued commitment to innovation and philanthropy, is ensuring the future is bright for his country and the generations to come.
Sonia Pilovska
General Manager
First generation Australian, born to Macedonian parents, and now a self proclaimed global citizen – our General Manager’s wanderlust began at a very young age when she visited her parents homeland for the first time, and only grew in intensity with every new stamp in her passport, as she continued to travel the globe over the decades.
Turning this wanderlust into a travel career of 20+ years, and having successfully built and ran a number of luxury travel companies, Sonia’s passion for discovering destinations through the eyes of locals and her ability to seek out and tailor the very best out-of-box itineraries, combined with her natural business acumen, brings a fresh and global approach to the Moroccan travel landscape.
Sonia first visited Morocco over 10 years ago and was instantly seduced by the exotic blend of colors, spices, scents, sounds and sights that this diverse country exuded at every turn. Never feeling completely fulfilled, she has been returning yearly ever since (all in the name of research!) and continues to fill her little black book with incredible gems – ensuring that even the most discerning travelers will always leave Morocco wowed.
